As the days grow shorter and autumn settles in, there’s something magical about that fleeting moment between day and night…
For our October workshop, Amanda will be guiding you to paint a beautiful Long-eared Owl, beneath an autumn twilight sky, something that captures the quiet magic of an autumn evening, with a subtle nod to Halloween. 🎃🌙
During the workshop I’ll guide you step-by-step through creating the atmospheric background, glowing moon and silhouettes, before bringing our beautiful owl to life with layered watercolour.
As always, the workshop is suitable for all abilities, including complete beginners. Your pencil outline and step-by-step guidance are provided, so you can simply relax, paint and enjoy the process. 🎨

You can download a parking permit to print at home and display in your windscreen during the workshop! If you don't have a printer at home, you are collecting the parking permit on the day. Please park in the 1-hour free area before you collect it, then move your car to a regular bay and display your permit.
Our parking permits are only valid in Craft Village car park which is only 5 min walk from our studio. Please familiarise yourself with the location of the car park by watching one of the videos below:

Disable parking within 5 min walk of the studio. The studio is ground level with no steps. Public toilets including disabled toilet just across the yard from our studio.

Nearest Carpark is the Craft Village Carpark (2 mins walk to the Craft Village). It is sign posted as additional parking area from within the Mundy Car Park. The Mundy Car Park is 5-7 minutes walk through the park. Mundy Carpark is accessed from the Kedleston Rd end of Markeaton Lane. The Main Carpark is off the McDonalds Island/roundabout where the A52 meets the A38. Please allow for a 7-10 minute walk.
