Join multi-disciplinary artist, Zoë Nash, for this mixed media, weekend workshop giving you a boost of creative energy as we head towards the summer break.

The course will introduce a range of exploratory painting techniques such as blending, staining, working with washes, textures, additions and removals, as well as teaching you how to make and use simple glazes and effects. You’ll develop pieces that combine a number of different strategies that can add multiple layers of interest within your work. Tips for enhanced composition and how to develop visual storytelling and communication will also be briefly covered.

Summer Jumble is suitable for total beginners and those with some experience who want to experiment with more innovative mark-making to reinvigorate a current practice. By the end of the weekend, each student will have a collection of small artworks finished and ready to take away.

NB: BSA has a small shop onsite where you are able to purchase paper and painting boards.
