These hand building taster workshops provide a wonderful opportunity for all ages to enjoy creating and working with clay.
Everyone attending will be able to make one item following a project set by the Tutor.
We have a different project to make for each taster workshop. Previous items have included jugs, animals, vases, tea light houses, candleholders etc.
Your unique and very special piece will be ready to collect two or three weeks later.
The workshop cost includes teaching, materials, glazing, firing and refreshments.
This Spring Taster is open to all adults and teenagers 13+. Younger children (7-12 years) are also very welcome if an adult attends the workshop too.
Please note that we can't pre-determine the proportion of adults and children that book onto each workshop.
The morning (9.30 – 12 noon) or afternoon (1.30 – 4 pm) sessions are available to choose from.
The tutor for this workshop is Helen Ashton.
These pottery workshops provide a great opportunity for a taster if you are contemplating joining a class with us. There is nothing like a full hands-on experience, working within a group of like-minded people, and getting a feel for the facilities, energy and atmosphere of the studio.

You may want to bring an apron if you have one, or wear clothes that you don't mind getting a little messy.
