Cosy Homes & Willow Weaving Workshop - Midsomer Norton

Join us for this hands-on workshop where you will have the opportunity to learn about ways to make your home more energy efficient and warmer in the colder months, alongside the craft of weaving a platter or basket base with materials found in nature.

The afternoon will include:

• Learning traditional craft techniques to create a simple platter or basket base through weaving willow, hazel or ivy.
• A short presentation introducing energy saving measures for your home.
• The chance to try out some practical draught proofing techniques.
• An opportunity to ask questions about any of the energy saving methods presented.

You will also take away a 'free cosy homes kit' with materials to action a simple draught proofing project on your own home.

This workshop is suitable for homeowners, landlords and renters, including those on lower incomes. We will cover a range of simple, low and zero cost DIY approaches in addition to more extensive measures such as installing heat pumps, solar panels, etc., and any relevant financial support that is available.
