During this fun and laid back 2 hour taster, you will receive 3 balls of clay, and after a demo from the tutor - make your own small vases/ bowls.
2 of your thrown peieces will be chucked in the “bucket of doom” (if you watch Pottery Thrown Down, you’ll know what this is) and your best 1 can be kept, to be fired and clear glaze will be applied. This process takes up to 6 weeks, as it needs to dry, be bisque fired, then glaze fired.
Globe 2 is located behind Zapato, go through the green gates to the side of Zapato, turn right, and you'll see our signage under the canopy at the left.
Please note: If the course has less than 5 clients booked, there is a chance of the course being cancelled. For this reason, we recommend booking sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment. If the course is cancelled, we will offer a full refund or transfer to a similar course.
If you decide to cancel, we are unable to refund you, and instead will offer you a transfer if you give us 7 days notice.
Our throwing wheels are situated in Globe 2, which can get cold especially in the evenings. Wear appropriate clothing and covered shoes- i.e. no sandals.
no long fake nails, no scarves, hair tied back, no jewellery.
We do supply aprons and heated gilets, plus heaters around the wheels.
