The Horsham District Sports Development team are working in partnership with the Health and Wellbeing team and Ashington Bowls Club to run a Learn to Play Short Mat Bowls course.
Running for five weeks in the Ashington Community Centre in Ashington between Wednesday 9th September 2026 and Wednesday 7th October 2026, the sessions will take place from 12.30pm to 2.30pm and the cost of the course is £25.
The course is aimed at anyone that is interested in learning how to play Short Mat Bowls, with instructors on hand to help you and is ideal for people that have never played before or are looking to improve.
All the equipment is provided so you just need to bring flat shoes or slippers. There is a tea/coffee break halfway to chat and socialise with the other participants and instructors.
At the end of the five-week course, information will be provided for anyone wishing to join Ashington Bowls club to enable them to continue playing.

Please wear wear flat smooth sole shoes or slippers to take part in this activity.
All Bowls equipment will be provided.
Free parking is available at the Ashington Community Centre.
