Description: This course provides the Polaris system administrator the opportunity to learn principles of system design and best practices of system management. Also covered will be the tasks to be done in ongoing maintenance of your Polaris system. The course includes time for individual questions and discussion on ways to accomplish library-specific goals and behavior.
It is recommended that coordinators take this course in conjunction with the Polaris PowerPAC – What’s New, What to Do, and What you can Do
This workshop is a six hour online class, delivered in two 3-hour online sessions.
Prerequisites: Knowledge of system administration procedures in place at your library and responsibility for making changes to system settings..
