A dynamic 75-minute led class fusing traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa with the precise alignment of Iyengar-influenced Vinyasa. Rooted in traditional methodology, this practice combines breath, movement, drishti, and focused attention through intelligently sequenced postures.Inspired by the early teachings of Krishnamacharya - the father of modern yoga, and foundational Hatha yoga methods, expect a strong, fast-paced, breath-driven experience.
The practice explores strength, mobility, balance, stamina, and energetic awareness. Sequences weave together standing postures, backbends, arm balances, hip opening, inversions, and deep spinal work in a progressive way.Rather than following a fixed series, this class moves fluidly across systems.
It offers a shorter format to experience a wide range of postures, precise alignment principles, and diverse vinyasa relationships. Suitable for all levels, with options and adaptations offered throughout the practice to accommodate different bodies, abilities, and levels of experience. While the class can be physically demanding, students are encouraged to work at an appropriate level for their own practice.
Please arrive a minutes early to settle before class begins, as the door will close promptly at the start of the opening chant. Bring your own yoga mat, a small towel, and an empty stomach.
The class will be led in Sanskrit count, so it’s best suited for students who already have an established yogasana practice. Practitioners are encouraged to move mindfully, honouring their own pace while staying connected to the breath and rhythm of the count.
