Understanding gesture and movement in the human figure is one of the key foundations to successful figure drawing. London based artist Bren @brenmdraws will demonstrate how to capture the movement of a figure quickly through gestural drawing.

Learning to draw with gesture will enable you to draw figures that look expressive and fun, quickly and easily. It's also a very nice way to relax and enjoy the process of drawing. For those of you looking to learn or develop your drawing, gesture is a foundational skill for drawing that's key for developing finished rendered drawings of people or from imagination.

Bren is an artist from London who has a background in life drawing and portraiture, and recently exhibited his work at XYZ Gallery in Central London. Bren believes anyone and everyone can draw, all they need to do is start. He is currently focused on drawing comic books having self-published two books and recently being featured in the anthology "Tall Tales" published by London comics collective WIP Comics. "Tall Tales" went on to be awarded "Book of the Festival" by BrokenFrontier for ThoughtBubble Comics festival 2024.
