Adults Making Class

Wanting to learn to sew? Maybe you have a firm grasp of the basics, but are wanting to expand your knowledge into advanced skills such as pattern cutting and complex construction. During our adults classes anyone from complete beginners to more experienced sewers are guided with expert tuition through individual projects of your choosing.

Our tutors will provide tailored support for your goals and experience level, whether you want to:

• Sew your first garment
• Alter or upcycle a garment that you no longer wear or doesn't quite fit
• Draft a pattern for the dress of your dreams
• Remake a jacket you love
• Create a custom pattern block tailored to your measurements, you can adapt into any garment
• Or any other project ideas you may have …our tutors will guide and support you every step of the way.

You’ll work in our welcoming sewing hub using domestic and industrial machines, while learning professional techniques and finishes that you can take into your own creative practice.

During classes you will have access to our fully equipped studio:
• New, regularly serviced domestic Janome sewing machines
• Industrial sewing machine and overlocker
• Specialist machinery such as coverstitch, overlockers, babylock, and embroidery machine.
• Supplied studio full of all the equipment you will need, such as scissors, pattern masters, tools, threads and more!
