Step into the wild for an unforgettable day of bonding, learning and exploration. Forest Fathers is a men and children-only bushcraft experience designed to strengthen family connections while learning essential wilderness skills.
Whether you are a father, uncle, grandfather or male guardian, this session is a chance to connect and spend quality time with the children in your life while learning new skills and taking on challenges. Designed for children over 7 and guided by an experienced bushcraft instructor, you'll dive deep into skills that connect us to nature: Fire-building, shelter construction, campfire cookery and more.
Join us in building lasting memories together, away from screens and daily distractions.
Lunch and refreshments are provided.
We meet at 10 am in the car park outside the Warley Woods Golf Pavilion (101 Lightwoods Hill, Smethwick, B67 5ED) to walk down to the site together, please ensure you arrive in good time for the start of the session. These sessions will take place on our beech tree site. Please see the map in the event attachments for how to find us or use What 3 Words: ///cliff.frames.curving
Dette arrangementet er kun for menn
Bushcraft takes place in all weathers, throughout the seasons. Please ensure you have plenty of layers of clothing to keep you and your children warm and dry. You can always take layers off if you get too warm. We recommend wellies or waterproof walking boots with warm socks, a waterproof top layer, and long sleeves and trousers.
Expect you and your children to get muddy and dirty, this is where memories are made after all!
We will be cooking a campfire lunch during the session and will have hot drinks available, but please feel free to bring your own as well - bushcraft is hungry & thirsty work!
We have hand washing facilities on site and ask that everyone washes their hands on the way into and out of the site and before eating. There are also hand-washing facilities and toilets in the Warley Woods pavilion – please do try to remove as much mud from boots before going inside. There’s a ramp available to enable access into the pavilion, please ask in the shop and a member of staff will arrange that for you.
