Green Beans is our weekly on a SATURDAY family group, running weekly apart from the 5th Saturday of the month. Suitable for children aged 12 and under and their adults.
Green Beans is a nature-based children’s group, with a structured feel, led by a member of our team. We run year round in our community garden, each session is centered around a theme which we explore through gardening, craft or cooking. Activities are especially suited to children up to 12 years old.
Market Stall - our weekly Market stall will be open during this session, for all things seasonal, chemical free and locally grown.
School Holidays
During the school holidays we welcome older siblings up to the age of 15 to attend. Activities will remain the same and aimed at those under 8.

Our Family Tickets cover up to two adults attending in a caring role and up to three children in their care. We welcome blended and co-parenting families; however, tickets are intended for one caregiving group and may not be split between separate groups of friends or families.
ADDITIONAL ADULT/CHILD If you would like to bring an additional adult or child we will ask you to pay for them when you come to the group, the cost is £2 per person (adult/child)

Important Workshop Information:
All workshops are hosted at the Windmill Community Gardens Market. We offer sheltered areas for workshops and group activities, but we recommend dressing appropriately for the weather, as some parts of the gardens may be exposed to the elements.
PLEASE NOTE: Children remain the responsibility of their Parent/Carer at all times whilst onsite of our community gardens. Should we offer water play during hot weather, swim wear is to be worn.
Windmill Community Gardens is located at the corner of Dane Valley Road and College Road Margate CT9 2SH.

You can reach us with bus number 34 and the stop is located on Upper Dane Road near Fitzroy Avenue.
PARKING:
There is no onsite parking but we are located on a long road called Dane Valley Road which has plenty of FREE parking.
BIKES and BUGGIES
These can be stored onsite, please ask a member of staff where best to store these.
