Dr Janet Chelliah is a GP with over 30 years experience as a doctor in the NHS. She obtained her medical degree in Australia. In 1999, she became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, which initiated her interest in Women's Health.
She has been trained in providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, by the British Menopause Society. CBT is the only non medical treatment approved by NICE Guidance to help, hot flushes and some other perimenopausal/menopausal symptoms.
Dr Janet Chelliah says, ‘ I am a woman in her 50s walking through menopause while caring for a disabled daughter and supporting another. This time of life has been deeply personal and profoundly transformative. Especially since it was a time coping with cancer in the family, too.’
For decades, she supported women through every stage of life, from adolescence to menopause. But living it herself-while balancing caregiving, work, and self-care; has given her a new perspective on what true well-being means. It’s taught her that knowledge alone isn't enough; what women need is empathy, clarity, and community.
