Back by popular demand, we return to Monks Cottage for our cosy day retreat!
Join me at the enchanting Monks Cottage Sanctuary for a special winter solstice celebration filled with yoga, creativity and deep rest. Hidden away in a beautiful 900 year old cottage with whimsical gardens, it’s the perfect place to spend a December Sunday slowing down and soaking up the season.
As we gather on the eve of the Winter Solstice, we’ll take time to reflect on the year that’s been and welcome the return of lighter days ahead, before stepping into Christmas feeling calmer, lighter and more present.

Instructies
Arrival
Please arrive from 10:15am so there’s plenty of time to settle in before we begin. As the driveway is narrow, it’s recommended that you reverse down the drive when you arrive to make leaving easier later in the day.
What to bring
Everything you need for the practices is provided, including yoga mats, blankets and eye pillows.
To make yourself extra cosy, I’d recommend bringing:
- A cushion or fluffy blanket for extra comfort
- Warm layers and cosy socks
- A bottle of water
- A mug for hot drinks if you’d prefer to use your own (optional)
Wear comfortable clothing that you can move and relax in, and don’t worry about bringing any yoga experience. Everything will be guided, and you’re welcome exactly as you are.
