Our Inclusive (September) INTERMEDIATE DIY Club begins on Wednesday 16th September
The DIY Club will run for a 4-week term for the following dates:
16th September - 23rd September - 30th September - 7th October
The price includes all 4 Sessions.
Intermediate DIY Club is all about building confidence in using Power Tools. We want to open up a whole world of DIY projects for you. Its lots of hands-on building and making with power tools.
You mastered the drill in beginners DIY Club, nw its time to take your skills even further
Sessions will start at 6.30pm, but the format is very relaxed, so feel free to turn up when you are ready. We aim to finish the sessions between 8.30 and 9pm.
The DIY clubs are to provide you with an opportunity to learn and practise new skills. We have a wide-range of tools, and lots of space to practise in. If there is something that you specifically want to cover, then let us know before the night, or at the end of the previous session, and we will try to include it.
This is what we plan to cover:
Making Frames - these are pretty much the fundamental building blocks for many of your DIY projects. If you're thinking of building a Bike or Bin Store, or maybe some raised beds, this session will really help you tackle these projects.
Introducing Power Tools - we'll introduce you to Cordless Jigsaws and Circular Saws, so that you can start expanding the kinds of DIY projects you want to tackle
Boxing in - Building on the Frames session, we will start planning & implementing some boxing in. This is great for learning how to hide unsightly pipes, or cables, or just generally finishing off your DIY projects.
The DIY Clubs are aimed at people with some DIY experience. If you feel that you are a complete DIY Beginner, we recommend that you attend one of our Nailing it! DIY Fundamentals Courses or Beginners or Women-only DIY Clubs first. This will give you all the DIY confidence you need to get the most out of the Intermediate DIY Club.
Niveau: Intermediate
We will provide all materials, tools etc. However, if you want to bring along your own tools, ongoing projects etc. then feel free to do so.
We also have hot drinks – tea, coffee etc. Feel free to bring your own additional refreshments, if you want to.
We recommend that you wear warm old clothing, and sturdy shoes.
If you would like to bring your own PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), please feel free to do so. We will provide PPE, but we know that some people would prefer to use their own. (We suggest that you mark them up with your name, so that you can identify them)
