6-Week Cupcake & Cake Decorating Course for Beginners

🎀 Learn to cover, and decorate beautiful cupcakes and cakes in a fun, relaxed environment.

Perfect for complete beginners or hobby bakers wanting to build their skills and confidence!

Thursdays – starting 8th January, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm sometimes runs over to 8.30pm

(Each course runs weekly for 6 weeks.)

✨ What You’ll Learn

Week 1 – Basic Piping on Cupcakes

Learn how to prepare buttercream and use a piping bag with different nozzles to create beautiful swirls, rosettes, and textured patterns on six cupcakes. A great introduction to piping techniques and control.

Week 2 – Cupcake Bouquet

Create a stunning 12-cupcake bouquet! You’ll arrange and decorate cupcakes with piped flowers such as roses and blossoms, learning tips for colour matching, petal techniques, and presentation.

Week 3 – Lambeth Cake Design

Explore classic Lambeth-style piping using royal icing. You’ll layer intricate borders, scrolls, and elegant designs on a small cake — perfect for developing precision and creativity.

Week 4 – Fondant Cupcake Toppers

Work with fondant to craft detailed cupcake toppers. Learn how to roll, cut, and shape fondant, add texture, and paint on fine details to create fun and themed decorations.

Week 5 – Fondant Animals

Take your fondant work further by creating 3D decorations, including cute animals — perfect for personalising any cake.

Week 6 – Cover & Decorate a Celebration Cake

Bring everything together! You’ll learn how to cover a cake smoothly with fondant, then finish it with the decorations you made in previous weeks adding lettering and flowers to create your own beautiful celebration cake to take home.
