Explore the expressive possibilities of marbled clay across an 8-week ceramics course combining wheel throwing and handbuilding.

Throughout the course, you’ll experiment with a range of techniques including agateware, nerikomi, kurinuki, slab building, and wheel throwing. You’ll learn how to combine and manipulate different coloured clays to create distinctive patterns, surfaces, and forms.

The course is an opportunity to play, experiment, and develop your own approach to marbled clay. Explore the balance between control and spontaneity — from layering and slicing coloured clay to carving, constructing, and throwing forms

This course provides space to experiment with colour, pattern, texture, and form, while developing skills across both wheel throwing and handbuilding.

Skill level: Level 1 previous experience.
