Details

At 1000 we venture out by footpaths to Marlow Common from the Royal Oak, Bovingdon Green.

Enjoy an illustrated talk on the troops, their camp and their activities before exploring the preserved WW1 practice trenches. Soak up the magic of these beautiful beech woods, then stroll back to the pub for a drink or lunch if you fancy.

Walk returns to the Royal Oak in time to enjoy a drink or lunch if pre-booked.

Well behaved dogs very welcome on the walk and in the pub.

Donations £5.00 per adult for Marlow Museum much appreciated; children and dogs free

A gentle stroll with some uneven woodland to negotiate, watch out for tree roots and undergrowth. There are a couple of roads to cross. Robust buggies will be fine, but unfortunately not wheelchairs or mobility scooters.
