For those who have never ventured off-road, or, are a bit rusty and would like a refresher, or if you just want build a bit of confidence, this course is designed to lead you off the firm tracks onto forest style tracks and gentle single track.
Held in Hamsterley Forest, the course will introduce you to the essential skills required for off road riding, including: use of gears, balance, braking, climbing and descending, so you can discover the enjoyment of off-road biking safely.
The course also aims to inform you about mountain bikes and the equipment you may need to enjoy the sport (please see equipment list below, for equipment you will need for the course).
Pre entry requirements
You will need to be happy riding your bike on hard surface routes (some gentle off road experience is beneficial but not a mandatory).

Note on e-bikes
Please note if you are doing any of our MTB coaching sessions or guided rides on an e-bike, you MUST be over 14 years of age and the bike must conform to British “pedalec” laws. Please contact me if you require further information.
