Family Directed Funeral Workshop, with Charlene Elderkin

Preparing our deceased loved ones for final disposition was traditionally a sacred task performed by members of one's family and community. Join two founders of Threshold Care Circle, Charlene Elderkin and Liz Franklin, as they lead a practical, hands-on class about this safe, legal, and rewarding way to honor our dead and the cycles of life.

We'll begin on Friday evening with a screening of In the Parlor, a movie documenting 4 different home death / vigil / funeral experiences. On Saturday, we'll cover legal forms, care of the body, and setting up a home vigil.

Sustainer Level Ticket: $85
If you need to budget your educational and entertainment spending – you can take classes and eat out occasionally as long as you are mindful – consider paying at this level, which will help sustain the Folk School at a modest level.

Supported Level Ticket: $60
If you struggle to fund your basic needs, or carry a burden of debt or support for others in your family or community, consider paying at this level, allowing the Folk School and our contributors to fulfill our goals toward supporting and enriching our community.
