Cosy Homes & Willow Weaving Workshop

Join us for this hands-on workshop where you will learn about measures to make your home warmer and more energy efficient, alongside the craft of weaving a platter or basket base with materials found in nature. Includes a free soup and bread lunch.

The afternoon will include:

• Learning how to create a simple basket or platter through weaving willow, hazel or ivy.
• A short presentation introducing home energy saving tips for your home.
• The chance to try out some practical draught proofing techniques.
• An opportunity to ask questions about any of the energy saving methods presented.

You will also take away a 'free cosy homes kit' with materials to action a simple draught proofing project on your own home.

Please note this workshop is suitable for homeowners, landlords and renters, including those on lower incomes. We will cover a range of simple, low and zero cost DIY approaches in addition to more extensive measures such as installing heat pumps, solar panels, etc., and any relevant financial support that is available.
