Join Joe from Journey Wild and carve your own wooden whisk from a christmas tree top.
We will discover how to carve out the whisk, set it into shape, sand and smooth, carve a handle and set the whisk in.
Along with learning how to utilise spruce tree tops in this way, this workshop will also teach basic carving techniques with a straight knife and give confidence to approach woodcarving and craft projects at home.
All tools and materials are provided. Ages 14+ All persons below 18 to be accompanied by an adult.
Location - In the Woods at The Garlic Farm
The course is held in a woodland area at the Garlic Farm. Please dress accordingly for the weather on the day of your workshop. If it is raining we will be undercover.
There are log stools for seating but feel free to bring along your own camping chair if this is preferred.
This is a self catered event with a break for lunch at 12.30pm for 45 mins. Bring along your own refreshments, snacks and lunch as you please or feel free to make a booking at The Garlic Farm Restaurant or visit the Allium Cafe.
All participants should meet outside the Garlic Farm Shop entrance at the end of the car park for the beginning of the workshop time, we will then make our way to the woodland workshop.
