Open to members of the Two Spirit, Trans, Gender Nonconforming and Drag community only.

DIY Printmaking at Klinic

Free DIY printmaking workshop for members of the two spirit, trans, gender nonconforming, and drag community! Create your own clothing designs and artwork to take home. Learn to print on clothing and fabric using screen print stencils and relief printing. You will leave the workshop with the skills to continue printmaking at home.

Supplies provided. Participants may bring their own clothing or fabric to print on or select clothing from Klinic's clothing bank. For best results fabrics should be at least 50% natural fibres (cotton, linen, wool, silk).

Registration required. Participants must be 18 or older to register. Teens (13+) may attend with their legal guardian.

Accessibility:

  • Klinic has a ramp entrance on Sherbrook, an elevator, and accessible washrooms for people who use mobility devices.
  • Masks required - KN95 masks provided.
  • Bus tickets provided on request.
  • The activity is done sitting at a table. The printing we will be doing is smaller scale compared to commercial screen printing, requires less hand+body strength than commercial screen printing, and has lower impact for hands, back, and joints.
  • Participants may bring a support person. Please email Kara (knacci@klinic.mb.ca) to let them know if a support person is attending.
  • Support persons, legal guardians, and/or teen children of participants do not need to be 2SLGBTQ+.

Parking:
There is no parking onsite at Klinic, however, there is free time-restricted street parking on Furby Street and Langside Street. Note: Please be mindful of parking time restrictions, as Klinic Community Health is not responsible for any tickets or fees incurred.
