In partnership with the WREN Conservation Group, the Nature Conservation Team will take a walk around Wanstead Park. We will work together to try and identify a variety of plants and animals.
This walk will last approximately 2.5 hours and is suitable for 7+ years. We will be walking along non formalised paths and uneven surfaces. Paths will be unsuitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. We highly recommend walking shoes/boots or wellingtons, especially if there has been persistent rain the weeks or days prior to the walk.
Please note, the walk may end up being longer, but you don't have to stay for the full session or if you decide to stay longer, please bring some snacks or lunch, etc.
When events are free, some people book and don't turn up. So please only book if you are sure you will be coming or cancel at least two or days beforehand to allow someone else to take your place.
Wear appropriate clothing for the weather and sturdy footwear. Most areas do not have formal paths.
Only assistance dogs allowed.
Large areas are inaccessible for wheelchairs.
Appropriate for 7+ years, anyone between 7-15 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
