Join us after dark to explore the amazing world of bats at Ray Park!
We'll be looking for a variety of different bat species, which thrive in this urban green space, using the varied habitats within the park.
With the help of bat detectors and torches, we will view and learn about these amazing nocturnal hunters as they emerge!
Suitable for ages 7+
We will begin at 6:45pm, just before it gets dark, for a short introduction about the fascinating world of bats and how we can find them.
We will then head out into the park to explore different habitats, using special bat detectors to search for different bat species as they emerge and hunt! We will then aim to finish up by around 9pm.
Please wear appropriate clothing for being outdoors, including sturdy footwear and warm clothing depending on the temperature. Insect repellent is also recommended, as night time brings out a lot of the critters which our bats will be searching for to eat!
We will have torches and special bat detectors will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own torch.
