A lunchtime pause in your day. Breathe and stretch out the body with this floor based mindful class class.
In a yin yoga practice we hold the poses for lengthened periods (around 5 minutes) and you’ll be encouraged to find a balance between effort and ease in the postures, with a mild to moderate load on the muscle – enough to gently stress the connective tissues without creating too much strain. This low level mechanical stress has been shown in animal and human studies to stimulate fibroblast activity, collagen remodeling and tissue resilience (thanks Bernie Clark for this explanation).
The stillness and slow nature of the practice encourages a sense of calm and balance to our bodies and minds.
All equipment provided. However, you are welcome to bring your own in your prefer.
Please arrive a couple of minutes before the class to get settled.
We are a shoe free studio and would greatly appreciate your cooperation with this and with helping keep the studio free of any mobile or smart watch notifications.
Parking is on street in a mainly residential area - please park considerately of our neighbours drives and the restricted school zone.

Block booking
