This is to ensure that Health & Safety Representatives remain
knowledgeable and up-to-date on their responsibilities, duties, and other
rights within the workplace in relation to health & safety.
The course provides an opportunity for HSRs to refresh their knowledge
on identifying and controlling workplace hazards, understanding
legislative requirements, effectively communicating with workers and
management, and advocating for health and safety improvements in the
workplace
Daily Start Time 7.30 am - Finish time 3.30 pm
From 29 July 2024, the following changes have applied:
• The time frame for HSRs to undergo initial training will change from 3
months to 28 days.
• The requirement for HSRs to complete the Refresher training will change
from every 3 years to every 12 months.
Requirement to demonstrate a level
of written and spoken English to do
this: Equivalent to Level 1 English
