heart of the city. A relaxed and luxurious first night before we point the cars east and begin
the serious driving.

Sölden – Two Nights

Schloss Mittersill – Two Nights

A magnificent historic castle hotel surrounded by the Austrian Alps, with exceptional dining,
beautiful grounds and a spectacular setting.
From here we'll tackle many flowing and challenging Alpine passes including the
legendary Grossglockner High Alpine Road and return to the Schloss for two nights of
serious relaxation.

$ Day One 4/9 England → Lille Our adventure begins with an early crossing to mainland
Europe before heading for Lille and one of our favourite French hotels... the
beautiful Clarance Hotel Lille.
Hidden behind an elegant 18th-century façade in the heart of the city, Clarance is the
perfect first-night introduction to the tour. Beautiful interiors, great food, a relaxed
atmosphere and everything you need before the cars get properly acquainted with the
Austrian Alps. After check-in, it's time to enjoy the hotel, explore a little of Lille and get to
know your fellow WWOW adventurers. It's the perfect way to ease into nine unforgettable
days together.
$ Day Two 5/9 Lille → Frankfurt Today's drive takes us across France, Belgium and into
Germany, where the roads become quicker, the engineering becomes even more serious
and our destination becomes something every petrolhead has to experience at least once.
Tonight we're staying at the incredible b'mine Frankfurt Airport.
This isn't just another hotel... this is the one where your car comes upstairs with you!
Drive onto the car lift, park outside your bedroom and enjoy a front-row view of Frankfurt
Airport from your own private Car Loft. It's completely bonkers... and we absolutely love it.
If Carlsberg designed hotels for petrolheads, they'd probably end up with this.
$ Day Three 6/9 Frankfurt → Sölden Today everything changes. The flat autobahns give
way to sweeping mountain roads as we head south towards Austria. Every mile the scenery
becomes more dramatic until suddenly you're surrounded by towering peaks, waterfalls and
roads that appear to have been designed purely for driving pleasure.
By late afternoon we'll roll into Sölden, one of Austria's premier alpine resorts and our
home for the next two nights.
The outstanding Bergland Design & Wellness Hotel combines modern luxury with
breathtaking mountain views, and after today's drive, you'll have earned a spell in the spa, a
cold Austrian beer and a superb evening meal. For those wanting the full 007 experience,
there will also be the opportunity to upgrade to the legendary James Bond Suite... yes, the
very suite where Daniel Craig stayed during the filming of Spectre.
Sadly, looking like him the following morning isn't included in the room rate!
$ Day Four 7/9 Licence to Thrill Forget another driving day... today we're stepping into the
world of James Bond.
A spectacular mountain cable car carries us high above Sölden to the incredible 007
ELEMENTS Experience, built inside the mountain where many of the iconic scenes
from Spectre were filmed. Part museum, part immersive cinematic experience and part
engineering masterpiece, it's unlike anything you've visited before.
The afternoon is yours to enjoy. Explore Sölden, relax in one of Austria's finest hotel spas,
take a mountain walk or simply sit on the terrace watching supercars and motorcycles arrive
from every corner of Europe. Sometimes the best memories come when you slow the pace
just a little.
$ Day Five 8/9 Sölden → Schloss Mittersill More unforgettable roads await today as we
leave the Ötztal Valley behind and continue east through some of Austria's most spectacular
mountain scenery.
Every twist and turn reveals another picture-postcard view, another alpine village and
another excuse to stop for coffee, photographs and the occasional "How on earth did they
build a road here?" moment.
This really is the Austria you've always imagined. By late afternoon we'll arrive at the
magnificent Schloss Mittersill, our home for the next two nights.
This isn't simply a hotel. It's a historic Schloss with bags of character, an extraordinary alpine
setting and the sort of atmosphere that makes you slow down, look around and
think "Yep... we've done rather well here."
Two nights gives us time to properly enjoy it, relax, dine beautifully and soak up the setting
before another epic day behind the wheel.
$ Day Six 9/9 Grossglockner – The Greatest Driving Road in Austria?
If there's one day everyone will remember, it's this one.
Today we tackle the legendary Grossglockner High Alpine Road, a route that regularly
appears on lists of the world's greatest driving roads — and for good reason.
Endless hairpins, dramatic climbs, glacier viewpoints and mountain scenery that simply
refuses to end.
We'll take our time today. This isn't a race. It's about enjoying every bend, every viewpoint,
every coffee stop and every photograph.
By the end of the day your camera roll will be full, your face will ache from smiling and your
tyres will know they've had a proper workout.
Then it's back to Schloss Mittersill for another superb evening, undoubtedly with everyone
claiming their favourite corner of the day was better than everyone else's.
$ Day Seven 10/9 Schloss Mittersill → Stuttgart Today we swap alpine peaks for
automotive icons. Crossing back into Germany, we head for the home of some of the
greatest names ever to build a motor car.
Mercedes-Benz. Porsche. AMG.
This is automotive royalty, and for enthusiasts it's a little like visiting Mecca.
Tonight we're staying at the fabulous V8 Hotel Motorworld Stuttgart, where every room
celebrates motoring history and the lobby is surrounded by some of the world's most
desirable machinery. Expect plenty of wandering around saying, "I'd have one of
those..." while quietly ignoring the price tags.
$ Day Eight 11/9 Stuttgart → Valenciennes
Our final continental driving day takes us through Germany, across France and into one of
our favourite WWOW hotels.
The magnificent Royal Hainaut Spa & Resort Hotel is the perfect place to reflect on an
extraordinary week.
We'll enjoy one final evening together, share a few laughs about the week, compare
favourite roads and favourite moments, and almost certainly begin talking about where
WWOW should take us next.

After breakfast it's just a short drive back to the Channel Tunnel.
