Grief Tenders Enrichment Day

Grief Tenders Enrichment Day

Details

Following on from the Grief Tenders Enrichment day in November last year, we're offering another gathering for facilitators, wannabe facilitators and supporters in this field of tending the wounded heart in community.

The Intention

The broad intention will be to make new connections and deepen existing ones, to inspire one another with our vision and our shared commitment to this work, to reflect on some common themes and concerns, and to foster collaborations.

We'll be looking to tune into some of the key opportunities and challenges for us locally and to put in place some lightweight structures to support this work going forward.

All of which is about becoming more effective in playing our part in meeting our own and others' pain in more and more healthy and transformative ways; and contributing to the bigger picture of growing resilient and compassionate communities.

Who is it for?

  • Those who are already facilitating or would like to step towards facilitating Grief Tending in Community and/or The Work That Reconnects/Active Hope.

  • For people keen to get involved in supporting this work in practical ways.

  • For those more generally engaged in (or interested in) holding space for the communal tending of our individual and collective wounds.

We are keen to join up with facilitators working with the Deep Adaptation approach, so do get in touch if that's you.

It assumes some previous knowledge and experience of these approaches (at least one workshop perhaps). Please be in touch if you feel drawn to join us but you're unsure whether it's for you.

Contents of the day

We'll have some circle time where we can hear a little about what each of us is bringing to the table. We will invite words from the heart, from our present experience, as well as information about projects and activities.

We'll be reflecting on the structure of Norfolk Grief Tending as it currently stands, and its relationship to the Gathering Gates. It will be an opportunity to dream into what shape it might take in future, and to weave our own heart knowing and longing into this rich tapestry. If time permits, we may elect a group of individuals to form a circle and offer some lightweight support and guidance, tending the shoots of organic emergence.

As before, there will also be an opportunity to raise and explore questions that are alive for us in this field in an Open Space format, with time at the end for action planning. As well as picking up some of the threads that emerged in our November gathering, we'll make space for what's on top for us in our unique configuration on the day.
