Details

You are warmly invited to join us for this taster session. It is designed to be an introduction to the lineage and approach we work with in the longer workshops.

Contents of the session

  • A short presentation on the background to Grief Tending in Community, with particular reference to the work of Francis Weller.
  • Group discussion and sharing about the different faces of grief.
  • A short talk from a previous participant sharing their experience of attending workshops and the positive impact they experienced afterwards.
  • Time for questions and (where we can!) answers.

Who is it for?

This gathering will be an opportunity to learn more about the grief tending in community approach if you are new to this work and feeling curious about whether grief tending in community could be of benefit to you.

Perhaps you've been wondering about signing up for an event with us but want a clearer idea of what to expect if you do.

Or you may have attended events before and wish to deepen your understanding of grief tending and contribute to this collective field of inquiry. All welcome.

Living in the gift

We are exploring the idea of a gift economy which, to quote Charles Eisenstein, 'represents a shift from consumption to contribution, transaction to trust, scarcity to abundance and isolation to community.' We are offering this session in this spirit: which means there's no financial barrier, pay what feels right for you. We will send you some guidelines to help you decide the level of your financial contribution.
