This seminar will be about bidding discipline. It will cover several aspects of bidding:

• the extent of the agreements a pair should choose to have, often depending
on their assessment of the risk of not remembering them;

• the difference between being brave and foolhardy;

• similarly the difference between being prudent and cowardly;

• the extent to which you and your partner adhere to your system at all times;

• what you do if you know you have chosen a bid which your hand doesn’t
match;

• whether you should follow what the experts say.

Robert will providing plenty of examples of bidding dilemmas for those present to debate. He will encourage some self-analysis as to what sort of attitude to bidding discipline each participant has and what they might go away and discuss with a regular partner.
