From persuading Stephen Hawking to take part in the 2012 Paralympic Games opening ceremony to adapting a Chekhov play with a cast of deaf and disabled actors, between them, Jenny Sealey and Polly Thomas have been responsible for some pretty memorable moments. Their philosophy is that diversity breeds creativity in all areas of life - and especially in audio.
Now, they work together as co-directors of audio drama to create innovative and ground breaking drama for BBC Radio 4 and community radio, and they've pushed boundaries to find commissions for Deaf and disabled actors/writers/performers.
In this webinar, they share how they've achieved these partnerships, talk about how to discover and nurture new talent, explain why it is important to learn to challenge your assumptions (and those of your audience), and explain how best to support diversity to deliver something truly fresh and original.
