Mark Smith – Coastal Sculpture Masterclass

Join ceramic artist Mark Smith for a fun and inspiring one-day masterclass creating imaginative coastal sculptures full of character and charm.

Inspired by the seaside, fishing boats, weathered harbours and coastal wildlife, Mark's distinctive work combines playful storytelling with expressive handbuilding and colourful surface decoration. During the day you'll learn how he develops his unique style, using simple forms, texture and decoration to create sculptures bursting with personality.

Suitable for all abilities, this workshop is ideal for anyone wanting to explore a more creative approach to handbuilt ceramics. With plenty of individual guidance throughout the day, you'll create your own coastal-inspired sculpture while learning techniques you can continue to develop at home.

Your finished piece can be bisque fired after the workshop and be ready for collection a few weeks later. There is an extra charge of £15 per piece for bisque firing

Lunch, tea, coffee and refreshments are included.
