Bronze Beginner Scentwork Course
Our scentwork training course runs over six weeks, one hour each week, and is for dogs of all ages and stages from newly vaccinated puppies through to seniors.
In this course you will learn how to teach your dog important foundations skills for:
In the Bronze course we use red Kong as the target odour and over the six weeks we will move from searching for a whole small kong to a small chunk that fits in a tin or vial.
We will build on your skills week after week and work through line searches on pipes, bags and chairs as well as novel area and exterior vehicle searches.
Scentwork is a brilliant team activity and is a brilliant way for your dog to shine at something they are naturally good at - this boosts confidence and helps them learn focus and engagement as its an activity you do together

Learning is best achieved through positive reinforcement and lots of rewards. Therefore, please bring with you lots of small quick & easy to eat treats.

The class will always be outside where possible, therefore please dress accordingly

Training will be held in "the square" which sits just behind the high hedge opposite the kids play area/green. Park in the main car park, walk out of the car park and turn left, follow road to bend and at the set of barriers (next to sign for pinewood) turn left following path which leads to the square on your left hand side
