“Hi I’m Nikki! I’m the founder & CEO of Dance Like a Mother and started teaching Babywearing Dance in 2016 when my daughter Ellie was just 5 months old (madness!). I was a dancer for many years on a disco show and toured to many places around the world; Amsterdam, Israel, Hartlepool :D. And then later as a Zumba instructor.

Initially I started these classes as a way to avoid the usual judgmental Mum groups and chats about poo, sleep and moaning about partners... there had to be more to motherhood than this, right?

It quickly became clear that there was no other class like this and the Mums (and Dads when they felt brave to come!), would tell me how much the classes meant to them and how they felt happier, made great friends, felt healthier and more bonded with their baby.

I’ve loved seeing the classes grow, seeing the joy and life-changing affect they have on the Mums that come and feel so proud to have such amazing women working alongside me. I sometimes can’t believe I get to do this for a living! I
