REMINDER:

A strict policy of NO BOOKING, NO ENTRY is administered due to reservations on the size of the room that must be booked ahead of time and preparations needed before class.

You are free to reschedule up to 24 hours before class commences.

You can book at least one (1) hour before the class starts, at the latest.

If you’re not feeling well, please reschedule your class by informing the teacher of last-minute changes due to illness. We would want to practice consideration on this to avoid spreading anything to other students and making anyone feel uncomfortable if you are coughing or sneezing.

Booked class and a no-show is considered used ticket.

All transfer transactions should be done within 24 hours of booking to hold your slot. Otherwise, the system will automatically forego it.

Please be mindful of the following yoga etiquette:

  • Avoid consuming food three (3) hours before class.

Yoga detoxifies the body. You will be moving and twisting your muscles. Doing this with a full stomach can create discomfort.

If you are hungry three (3) hours before practice, consume light, healthy snacks such as a banana, a light selection of fruit, or yogurt.

  • Mind your personal hygiene.

For the respect of other attendees, please bathe before class, brush your teeth, wash your hair and use a clean mat and towel. For hygiene reasons, mats and towels cannot be provided, so please ensure you bring your own.

Please avoid wearing strong perfumes, oils, and colognes. Strong scents travel throughout the class and can be a source of discomfort for other attendees.

*Please come at least 10 minutes before the start of class.

Rushing into a yoga class or coming in after a class has started is stressful for you and other attendees.

Please ensure you arrive 10 minutes before class commences leaving sufficient time to destress, pack away your belongings, roll out your mat, and set yourself up for class.

Then use these few minutes before class starts to relax, perform some gentle stretches and find your focus to get the very best out of the class.

  • Be aware of your space.

Please use the shoe racks and shelves provided to place your personal belongings. This ensures we maintain enough floor space for yoga.

Classes can become crowded. If you see people looking for a space, please be friendly by making room for them if it’s available.

In less-populated classes, it’s common courtesy to stagger your mats so the person behind you has a clear view of the instructor while leaving some breathing room for the person next to you.

And please, mind your step; avoid walking on a fellow yogi’s mat.

Lastly, mind your steps: avoiding walking on a fellow yogi’s mat is polite.

*Please make sure all electronic gadgets are switched to silent mode, and turn off the vibration function as well. Yoga is a time to escape digital addictions and distractions, giving you a rare chance to be fully present.

If you’re expecting an important call or text, consider skipping class and attending the next one when you can be fully present.

  • Inform your instructor of any injuries you may have. This enables your instructor to modify some practices to keep you safe.

I provide gentle assistance to help you into a pose. If you’re injured or don’t like being touched, please tell your instructor before class begins.

  • Please leave your ego at home. Yoga is not the place for showing off your strength or muscles. You’re here to improve yourself, not to acquire other people’s approval (or eyerolls).

Also, please refrain from gossiping and complaining about other people. A negative attitude is best kept elsewhere.

Yoga is about being gentle and respectful in your communication; please be kind and respect others.

  • Minimize conversation

Yoga is a place for reflection, self-study, and focus, so it is important to maintain a quiet atmosphere. This supports your personal development.

  • Can’t stay for savasana? Leave before.

We understand time is valuable, but many attendees love savasana. It disrupts these people when you pack your belonging and leave during the most restful part of the practice. Please be respectful of others; if you can’t stay for savasana, please leave before it starts.

Also, if you have to leave class early, please position yourself near the door so that you can leave the room with minimal distractions to others.

  • Please help clean up.

Please help pack the blocks, straps, and any props after class.
If you’re borrowing studio props, please return these to their place before you leave. Please bring any trash or tissue that you have used with you.
