Each blended learning course is divided into two components. Participants must first complete the self-paced online component, which includes a knowledge evaluation, then successfully complete an Instructor-led classroom component (skills practice and evaluation session) in order to achieve certification.

Participants must complete the classroom component within six weeks of completing the online component. The dates above are the classroom dates, once you register for a classroom date with payment, you will receive an email with details of the next step.

The Blended Standard First Aid & CPR course is a comprehensive course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

Completion
100% attendance and participation; 75% min. passing grade on a written, closed book knowledge evaluation; and adherence to the Fundamental Principles.

Certification
3-year certification in Standard First Aid, CPR Level A or C, and AED

Instrukcje

Here is how it works:

Step 1: Choose your Practical Skills classroom date and pay for your course, Which you have completed to receive this email.  PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT the day you complete the online training.  This is the day you attend the classroom session.  The online training is not scheduled.  It is completed on your own time and must be completed before your classroom session

Step 2: Wait for a Red Cross email to arrive in your inbox, may go to your junk/spam folder.  Once you received the Red Cross email, click on the link and follow the instructions.  Do not go to the Red Cross website without clicking on the link in the email.  Please note, if you are booking for more than one person each person requires a unique email address.

Step 3: Complete the online training (On the Red Cross site, go to My Profile >
My ONLINE Courses).

You can exit the program at the end of each module without losing your placement. THE WELCOME LINK CAN ONLY BE USED TO CREATE YOUR ACCOUNT. PLEASE USE THE WEBSITE SIGN IN PAGE FOR FURTHER USE.

When you return you will continue with the next module.

Step 4: Print or take a picture of your certificate as proof of completion.   

Step 5: Join us on the date you selected in Step 1 to complete the practical component.  Classroom sessions are held at the Island First Aid Services, located at 14 Myrtle Street, Stratford and start at 9am.

  IMPORTANT  The online training MUST be completed prior to the classroom session.  The classroom session must be completed within 6 weeks of completing the online component.  If you do not complete the online training and show up for class, you will not be permitted to attend the class and no refund will be provided.

Cancelation and transfers by student must be completed no less than 3 days prior to the start date of the course. Refunds will not be issued without the required notice being given. No shows will be responsible for the full cost of the course.

Please be punctual for your course. If you are more then 15 minutes late for the course you may be turned way, without refund.
