This free introductory workshop is for parents and carers of children with ADHD who are trying to understand their child’s needs and navigate support in school. Many families find themselves trying to work out how to ask for help, understand school systems, and support their child emotionally at the same time.
This session is designed to give a clear starting point and practical guidance. During the workshop we will explore:
• Understanding how ADHD shows up in school
• Why some children struggle with attention, regulation and transitions
• How to ask schools for support
• Child’s Planning Meetings and Additional Support Needs (ASN)
• Practical strategies that can help at home and in school
• Supporting yourself as a parent
This free introductory workshop is designed as a standalone helpful session, and will also introduce an optional parent support programme launching later this year.
Future Parent Support Programme
This free workshop will also introduce a new parent support programme that I will be running later in the year. The programme will bring together evidence-informed parenting approaches used in neurodevelopmental support, alongside the compassionate, nervous-system informed approach used in Mindful Mornings.
The aim is to support parents to:
• Better understand their child’s ADHD
• Reduce conflict and overwhelm at home
• Support emotional regulation
• Navigate school systems more confidently
• Feel more confident advocating for their child
• Connect with other parents facing similar experiences
The programme will run as small supportive workshops, allowing time for discussion, practical strategies and shared learning.
More information will be shared during the session.
