Szczegóły

Discover the exciting world of scent work in our 2-hour introductory workshop, held in the charming and intimate setting of the Old Potting Shed at Damside House.

With convenient parking available right next to the venue on a private driveway, this workshop is the perfect starting point for you and your dog to learn the fundamentals of this engaging activity.

Open to all breeds and ages, with no previous training required, this session is designed to help dogs of any background tap into their natural scenting abilities.

We work with one dog at a time, with the others in the class waiting in their owners' cars between turns, making this workshop especially suitable for overexcited, nervous, anxious, or reactive dogs.

Limited to just 4 dogs and handlers, you’ll receive personalised attention as you gain hands-on experience and learn essential techniques.

If you and your dog enjoy the workshop, there’s an option to continue with weekly classes to further develop your skills.

Reserve your spot today and embark on an exciting scent work journey in a supportive, friendly environment!

Instrukcje

Your dog will need to settle in your car between turns. Cars will be parked on a private driveway in sight of the training area. It’s safe to leave windows/doors open as long as your dog is secured.

• Dogs will not come into contact with each other during the workshop.

• Children are welcome to attend, but they must not distract the other dogs when they are working.

What to Bring
• Harness or Collar: A harness is preferable, but a collar is also acceptable. No flexi-leads or chain collars.

• Fixed Lead: A clip lead is required.

• Treats: Lots of small, high-value treats (e.g., chopped cheese, beef, hotdogs, chicken). We go through quite a few during the 2-hour workshop.

• Ensure your dog hasn’t had a large meal beforehand; they should be hungry but not starving.

Important Reminders

  1. Dog Interaction: Do not interact with other dogs or allow your dog to interact with others. Some dogs may need space as they might be reactive or scared. Always ask the owner first.

  2. Training Protocol: Dogs will work one at a time. Keep your dog in your vehicle when not training, with dogs being switched regularly.

  3. Toileting: When letting your dog out to toilet, keep them on a lead at all times, maintain a safe distance from other handlers and their dogs, and use designated toileting areas only.
