Forest School session including den making, pond dipping, tree climbing, fire lighting, creative activities, mud kitchen, bug hunting and campfire cooking.
Your child will need to wear suitable outdoor clothing that you don't mind them getting dirty or smokey. We recommend that children always wear long trousers to protect them from brambles and stinging nettles, it is also easier for them to kneel on the ground in long trousers. They will be unable to do fire lighting in shorts. Waterproof clothing is essential in case of rain and trainers or other suitable footwear are necessary. The area can get muddy in heavy rain so it is a good idea for your child to wear wellies on these occasions or they can bring some with them. There is a purpose built shelter on site and a composting toilet. Children with long hair need it tied back for safety around the fire and fire lighting. Your child will also need to bring a packed lunch with them and other snacks will be provided.
