A focused and practical workshop designed to help you build a reliable recall, so your dog comes back to you confidently; even around distractions.
In this session, you’ll learn how to make coming back to you the best choice your dog can make. We’ll cover key techniques such as building value in the recall cue, improving engagement, and introducing safe, effective ways to practise around increasing levels of distraction. You’ll also learn how to avoid common mistakes that can weaken your dog’s response.
Using positive, reward-based training methods, we’ll guide you step by step to help you develop a recall you can trust, whether you’re out on walks or in more challenging environments. Suitable for dogs of all ages and abilities.
Please park in the allocated car park and keep your dog in the car until you are invited into the training area. We will be working in either the arena or field depending on the weather.
Please bring the following items to class:
🐾 A flat bed or mat for your dog to settle on
🐾 A toy (non-squeaky please)
🐾 Plenty of dog treats
🐾 Your dog’s clip lead and collar
🐾 Your dogs harness and long line
🐾 Water and a bowl
Please remember to check your WhatsApp before the session in case of any last-minute updates due to unforeseen circumstances. The session will be outdoor or undercover so please dress for all types of weather.
