This introductory webinar offers a clear, practical overview of Somatic Experiential Play Therapy (SEPT). Participants will learn how somatic awareness, symbolic play, and relational attunement work together to support regulation, emotional processing, and therapeutic change. This training is ideal for therapists who are new to SEPT or who want a stronger framework for integrating somatic principles into their play therapy practice.

Differentiate between normal developmental play and trauma-driven play in play therapy using observable themes and patterns.
Identify common play therapy-based metaphors and explain how metaphor supports emotional processing in children.
Explain how the nervous system influences trauma responses in children and how somatic activation, regulation, and incomplete responses appear in play therapy sessions.
Name the 2 core contributing theories in Somatic Experiential Play Therapy
