RYA Level 1 - Start Sailing (Gift Voucher)

Learn to Sail by booking onto one of Wembley Sailing Club’s adult weekend course.

This course introduces complete beginners to the basic concepts of sailing. Working towards the RYA Level 1 Sailing qualification, by the end of the weekend participants will have a range of sailing skills and knowledge and will be well on the way to being a confident and independent sailor.

Assumed knowledge: No or little sailing experience.

Course content: Launching and recovery a dinghy, parts of the boat and basic sailing manoeuvres. Basic sailing skills, tacking, controlling boat speed, rope-work and collision avoidance.

All courses run from 09:30 to 16:30.
