Material Archive: In conversation with ValUE

Szczegóły

The exhibition launch for Valerie Ebuwa’s Material Archive ValUE as part of Artist Archive.

ValUE is a multi-layered project that challenges racism and ideas of ‘conventional’ beauty head on. The name comes from artist Valerie Uchechukwu Ebuwa’s initials, and also stands for the quality of the project’s content, in which she works to decode racial oppression through dance and visual art. ValUE will be installed throughout the studios and on display until 20 February 2023.

This event takes place across our studios.

Doors open at 6.30pm and close at 9pm. Written and audio accompaniment (via QR codes, please bring a smartphone if possible) will be available to viewers, who are invited to choreograph their own path through the exhibit.

At 7.15pm, artist Valerie Ebuwa will give a talk, chaired by Ama Rouge with BSL interpretation by Jacqui Beckford. This is not a Q&A but rather a discussion around the creation of the project.
