Szczegóły

Pregnancy Pilates + Physio-led antenatal workshop - 6 week course

This is a six week course and is suitable for all stages of pregnancy, from 12 weeks

Weeks 1-5 will be run by Brenda, in Pregnancy Pilates, we focus on whole-body health and wellbeing, nurturing mind, body & spirit. You'll gain confidence in moving while pregnant and a feel-good hour for your own self-care while you prepare for the baby. An education on healthy movement habits and good breathing techniques will help your body adapt to pregnancy, prepare for labour and prevent overuse or strain.

Week 6 will be run by Sarah Parker, women’s health physiotherapist
In this workshop we will be going through all the physical changes you may be experiencing in pregnancy and what may come with that. We’ll go through possible pain you may experience and you will go away with useful tips on how to manage these. We will touch on birthing and things you can do immediately postnatal. The aim of this workshop is to let you feel empowered with knowledge to have the best pregnancy and birth experience because that is what every woman deserves. You will leave feeling confident that you are in control during this pregnancy because you know your body. You should be the leader during this time and being equipped with knowledge will encourage that.

Brenda Nassali-Liston : Brenda's passion for Pilates began at dance college and it helped her rehabilitate from a knee injury. Pilates has also helped Brenda to maintain strength during and after two pregnancies, enabling her to continue her career in dance after each of her children. After her second child she trained to become a Pilates Teacher to teacher others about its benefits. Brenda now sees Pilates & Movement as vital for her life and longevity and is starting to incorporate fascial health into her teaching as the pinnacle of a healthful life.

Sarah is a qualified Physiotherapist and pelvic health specialist. Her passion is empowering women from the inside out. She believes that good pelvic health care/education should be accessible to all particularly in the child bearing year. She has a special interest in keeping mums moving during pregnancy and returning to exercise postnatally.
She see’s women with many different pelvic health issues ranging from periods to prolapse and everything in between. There is no holds barred with this one and any body talk is on the table. Sarah wishes we could drop all the taboos around female sexual health so that everybody has the chance to heal.
