You are warmly invited to gather in community as we give space to tend our personal and collective grief together. Often a surprisingly nourishing, uplifting and heart-opening experience, sharing grief has been a part of many human cultures across the ages. Perhaps you are touched by a specific life event, or a more general sense of pain for the world and confusion in modern life? Grief tending can help us to release blocked emotion, soothe our nervous system and revitalise our connection to ourselves and each other. Helping our grief to flow in whatever form it arises is something many people find to be strengthening and supportive.
This workshop approaches grief as a doorway to connection, a way to include ourselves in the rich mystery of life and honour both our vulnerability and strength in the natural cycles of expansion and contraction, love and loss.
There are many forms and sources of grief in our daily lives, everyones experience is different, and all are valid.
There are no set requirements to attend this workshop, simply a call to share this exploration with others.
Sliding scale £20-50, with one free community support ticket on a first come basis for anyone in need of a little extra support at this time. These gatherings are deliberately kept to small groups for quality of experience. I am still exploring balance between a desire for accessibility and yet also sustainability of this work. If finances are a barrier for you to attend, do get in touch and we can find a way.
Please be aware that this workshop should not be a seen as a replacement to ongoing therapy, counselling or psychological support. It is likely unsuitable for those with fresh and acute bereavement or experiencing a severe mental health crisis. If you have feelings which are very intense or overwhelming, it may be better that you either attend a longer workshop (via www.grieftending.org) or have ongoing professional support in place before attending. Please get in touch if you have any questions or concerns.

Our journey will include building a group container, connecting to a sense of resource, writing and sharing expressions of grief, integrating and landing our experiences. These practices are rooted in the teachings of Sophy Banks and Jeremy Thres with whom I’ve trained and I also honour the lineages of their teachers in return including Maeve Gavin, Sobonfu Somé, Francis Weller, Joanna Macy and Martin Prechtel.
