Come and make your own Chicken, rooster or hen, and choose your own colours.
I will show you how to use earthenware clay to shape and sculpt your chicken with techniques to mould and join clay, and how to create character in your piece.
Once I have dried and fired your chicken, we will have a second session to paint your creation. You’ll bring your characters to life with glaze painting, ready for a final firing. This will be self guided and will take place at the Makers’ House, and will be arranged at a time to suit you.
A note about timing - the class time should be enough for you to learn the skills and create your own pieces. These timings are however dependant on many variables! For example you may nail it first attempt and make your piece very quickly. Or you may need more guidance and help to make something you’re proud of. So you may be done quicker, or after the estimated time frame.
Everything is provided for your workshop, including tools, materials and refreshments.
There is ample parking nearby.
