Day of Mindfulness for the Vietnamese community

Sunday, 5 May '19   10am – 5pm BST
Centre 151, 151 Whiston Rd, London E2 8BL

Details

This is an opportunity for those who identify as Vietnamese or have cultural or heritage links to Vietnam to attend a Plum Village Monastic led Day of Mindfulness.

We will create a space for our Vietnamese community to practice Mindfulness in the Plum Village tradition and also explore their Vietnamese culture and heritage. A quiet space, much needed in our busy lives, where we can deepen our practice, slow down, rest and water our seeds of calm, joy, compassion and solidity.

This event will be held in Vietnamese. There will be English translation, but we do not have unlimited capacity for this.

We are able to offer this event without upfront charge and offer this on Dana (donations) due to the generous part-sponsorship of venue cost by Buddhist Interhelp a Vietnamese charity.

The Teachers:
A day will be led by Su Co Kinh Nghiem and Plum Village Monastics.

Programme:
There will be teaching of the practice of mindfulness as taught by Thich Nhat Hanh. Sitting meditation, followed by mindful movements and a Dharma Talk. After a short break there can be small break-out groups for Dharma Sharing, or a Q&A. Mindful Lunch followed by a guided deep relaxation.

Location:
Centre 151, 151 Whiston Rd, London E2 8BL
