Dear Wild Woman,

This gathering is for you.

This gathering is for all of you who hear the "call of the wild", the whisper within the heart that says "awaken to yourself and to a life worth living". It is for you if you are yearning for a deeper understanding of who you are before anyone else told you who and what you should be. It is for you if you want to have a safe place to explore what your authentic self feels and look like. It is for you if you want to have time to connect with nature, the land and like minded women.

We will be gathering for a whole weekend, learning about the Wild Woman archetype, gathering in circle, dancing, taking part in ceremonies immersed in nature at 'The Nameless Dean' near Galashiels, in the Scottish Borders.

WHO IS THE WILD WOMAN?

The Wild Woman archetype is a powerful and ancient symbol that has been present in myths, stories, and cultures across the world. She embodies the untamed, primal, and instinctual aspects of the feminine. Often associated with nature, intuition, and fierce independence, the Wild Woman represents a liberating force that encourages women to break free from societal constraints and embrace their authentic selves.

The Wild Woman archetype is about connecting with the deepest, most authentic parts of ourselves that have been suppressed or forgotten over time. She is the embodiment of our raw, instinctual nature—the part of us that trusts our intuition, celebrates sensuality, and embraces the self completely without shame. In folklore and mythology, the Wild Woman is often depicted as a primal, untamed force of nature. She is connected to the wilderness, animals, the cycles of the moon and the earth, she is also connected with her inner moon cycle (menstrual power) . She dances under the stars, howls at the moon, and listens to the whispers of the wind. Her strength lies in her ability to move through life with courage and a fierce sense of freedom, unapologetically embracing her true essence.

My vision for the weekend is to come together to enjoy ourselves, celebrate sisterhood, our wildness, to create deeper connection with ourselves, nature and like minded women.

Programme for the weekend:

Friday:
2pm onwards: Arrivals
6pm - Opening Ceremony

Saturday:
8:30am: Movement practice.
11am: Circle - Connecting with the Wild Woman Archetype + Drum Circle.
1pm: Break.
3:30pm: Circle, Body Painting, Henna.
5:30pm: Break.
7pm: Dance.

Sunday:
9am: Movement practice + Closing Circle.
12pm: End of gathering.
