This course provides an introduction to the Intensive Interaction Approach and signposts attendees towards a range of helpful resources. Intensive interaction is a 1:1 approach to teaching early social communication and interaction skills to children with complex needs e.g. autism, profound and multiple learning difficulties
Intensive Interaction is a practical approach to interacting with people with learning disabilities who do not find it easy communicating or being social. This approach is oftens stated on young people’s EHCP’s.
Nottinghamshire Educational Psychology Service lead training courses are designed to help adults to recognise and understand children and young people’s needs and develop effective support strategies. We also offer evaluation research and organisational change processes to schools and other organisations.
